Welcome to Harrow Audio 

We have been trading for almost 50 years now, assisting our loyal regulars and of course welcoming new customers. Our enthusiastic staff are on hand to help guide you towards the perfect sound you are after. That’s why customers keep coming back year after year.

Our flagship Watford store relocated from the orginal Harrow premises in 2022.

In store we have a mouth-watering range of equipment, all ready for demonstration in our newly decorated listening room. We are Wi-Fi equipped and can demonstrate the latest audio streaming products, 2 channel Hi-Fi and also multi room systems allowing sound in up to 32 different areas!

History:

KJ Enterprises started in the mid 1960's by John Reid and Keith McMillar. Working out of Station Road in Watford it evolved into KJ Leisuresound and eventually had a number of store in London and the surrounding areas. Specialising in retailing and distributing Blank Audio Tape, TopTape was born as aprtof the main company, supplying Hifi stores and Electrical retails all over the UK with TDK, Maxell, BASF, Fuji and various other recording media brands. 

Through the 70's, 80's and 90's, KJ Leisuresound had stores in Watford, Harrow, Uxbridge and in London. When the K and J went their seperate ways and the stores were all bought out, Keith stayed in the industry with TopTape and Harrow Audio was run by Chris Franklin. Eventually Acoustics Arts, Uxbridge Audio (Martin Klieser) and Studio 99 all closed. The London store continues under KJ West One's ownership and has become a hub for Audiophiles worldwide. 

Harrow Audio resided in various Harrow locations but the Springfield Road premises always remained within the company. Harrow Audio moved outide Harrow for the first time in October 2022 due to the sale of the premises and we are now approx 1mile from the original KJ Enterprises store in Watford. 

Our Team:

We are a non-appointment based Hifi shop with plenty of on site parking. We do encourage booking a demo if there is somethign specific you want to listen too, but you are more than welcome to pop in anytime and take a look around. 

We are a small team of 3 with a combined 80 years experience of the Hifi industry, working across various shops including Ortons, HiSpek and Sevenoaks.
