Lost for words.
I have owned speakers made by Monitor Audio, Kef & Focal & all have had their merits. The Spendors are the best I have had by a marathon. Not close. Game over, the fat lady has sung & Elvis has left the building with her.
They are driven by a Roksan Caspian m2, sources are CD, vinyl & streaming via Amazon HD, for a room just over 5 x 3m.
They are elegant floorstanders & do not impose in a small/ medium room. I have positioned them roughly 40cm from sidewalls & about 35cm from the rear wall with a gentle toe in. Definitely worth playing around with positioning & I have found this to be as good as I can get taking into account room size & other practicalities.
The cabinets are superbly built, the finish I chose is oak & the look is warm & wonderful....... & boy do they sing. The detail is remarkable. Clear & precise . They are extremely well balanced floorstanders, bass is accurate & not overpowering.
They sound simply breathtaking. I have had them now for about 7 months & just could not imagine a better sounding speaker in their price range. Of course this is all subjective on my part- but read the reviews then try them out for yourself.
You won't be disappointed.
