Big sound from a little box.
I bought the Rega Io as I wanted a no-frills integrated amp which would give me good sound quality for a second music set up, using components I still had from previous systems.
The sound quality is amazing for the price. You can tell all the cost has gone in the engineering and not a fancy case or sales gimmicks. Despite using an average quality CD player and a cheap cable that I found in a drawer (because I can't remember where I put the spare audiophile quality interconnect) the sound is superb for the price (and then some). The music is clear, dynamic and involving and the amp is also more powerful than the specs would suggest, as it is effortlessly driving speakers that I used to drive with a Naim NAP 250.
