Product reviews for Sumiko Amethyst

I am glad that I listened to the person I was in contact with at Harrow Audio. This cartridge is outstanding. Smooth but highly detailed trebble, beautiful midrange and deep and well defined bass. This is just what I was looking for. My previous cartridge was an MC that did not get along with my amplifier and speakers. It had a tendency towards harshness. My speakers have ribbon tweeters and they are very revealing.

I had tried everything from switching to a tube phone stage, upgraded interconects and reinstalling my previous cartridge. Nothing helped until I got the Amethist. I only have been listening to it for 2-3 hours but it just sounds amazing. I can't wait till it is run in (probably about 50 hours). Highly recommended
