Stereo Socks - Mid Eighties. Van Halen inspired Socks supplied in a Stereo Pair (L and R)

There are two periods in the history of Van Halen. BD and AD. Before and after David Lee Roth. “MCMLXXXIV” or “1984” is the last album of the Before period. The charismatic singer left right after, due to creative differences, only to come back in 2007.

The original idea was too challenging to execute. The band wanted four chrome dancers, but they ended up becoming interested in an already existing painting found in artist Margot Nahas portfolio: a little angel child smoking a cigarette. The result was obviously censored in many markets, but you know what they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity.
